If I have ever thought I'm proud of Gidion, last week and today trumped every time (almost)! We enrolled Gidion at Blink Ogies, an educational playgroup that takes kids from the age of 18 months. For 3 days he cried a bit when mommy left (off course I BAWLED my eyes out! Even the ADT security guard stopped and asked me if I was ok..heehee..But seriously, it was the first time EVER I left my angelchild alone). By Friday he was jumping out of my arms, ready to play.
On Wed I had such a fright when Mandie, the school teacher (what an amazing woman!) phoned me. Off course I was thinking Gidion was lying somewhere bleeding, or choking or vomiting his lungs out...Then she said that she didn't quite know what to do. Gidion is eating the other children's lunchboxes!!! I didn't believe a single word...then I thought it must be something like yoghurt. But NOOOOO, Gidion was eating his friend's sandwich and one the girl's provitas!!!! I still get goosebumps.... He apparantly barely looks at mommy's lunchbox (that I pack with SOOOO much love and care), and can't wait to see what the other kids have! What a miracle... We just praise the Lord for His mercy and love. Naturally at home he won't touch that food...I still have to manipulate mommy and daddy a bit *smile* He enjoys the playgroup so much and he adores Mandie and Liesbet. He is quite creative (I get an art piece every day) and loves painting....definately mommy's boy!
He's laughing and babbling the whole day, and tries to sing along...what more can a mom ask for?
